Horseback Riding at Five Oaks Riding Stables in Sevierville, TN

Experience the Smoky Mountains on horseback, with a 3.5 mile loop winding past ponds, a creek, an old moonshine still and up a ridge to million dollar views of the Smoky Mountains. Conveniently located right off the main Parkway in Pigeon Forge, horseback riding with 5 Oaks Riding Stables will leave you and your group with memories to last a lifetime.

What To Expect

After checking in, you will wait outside on the porch next to the horse stalls. Fifteen minutes prior to the trip time, a staff member will come out and announce your trip. Riders will then meet the horse they will be riding and mount their animal. The Lead Guide will then go over safety procedures and riding instructions. After, you will depart on a trail ride, following the Lead Guide. During your roughly hour long trip, you will ride through the Smoky Mountains passing a babbling creek, old moonshine still, and fishing pond. Trotting on, you will come up on a ridge with million-dollar mountain views of some of the highest peaks in the Smoky Mountains. You will loop back around to the horse stalls, say goodbye to your horse and head back to the office to check out your photos that were taken on your ride.

What To Wear & Bring

We suggest riders wear long pants and any top they feel comfortable in. Sneakers, boots, or any other close-toed and close-heeled shoes are required.

Restrictions

Tours are limited to 12 people. Advanced arrangements must be made for groups of 12+

Age: Children ages 3 and older may ride double. Age 6 and above may ride single. Double riders must ride with a responsible person ages 16 and older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Weight: There is a weight limit of 270 pounds. On particularly hot days in the heat of summer, weight limits can change to 250 pounds.

5 Oaks Riding Stables is located at 1628 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862, across from the Tanger Five Oaks Shopping Center. Please ensure that you allow yourself enough time to arrive thirty minutes prior to your scheduled trip to fill out waivers.

You can check in using your confirmation email from Big Creek Expeditions or last name. Please allow yourself enough time to arrive thirty minutes before your scheduled trip time. During peak season, traffic on the Parkway can be highly congested.
