Zipline Fun in the Smoky Mountains

Legacy Mountain Ziplines in the Smoky Mountains

The highest and longest ziplines East of the Grand Canyon are found just a few miles off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. Featuring 7 lines, 3 ropes bridges, and the most clear and spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains, ziplining with Legacy Mountain will keep you saying "wow" turn after turn.

What To Expect

After checking in, signing waivers and being weighed, you will meet your guides. The guides will take you to the harnessing area and ensure that harnesses and helmets are properly fitted. You will also get a pair of special leather gloves that you will wear to help you break and slow down while ziplining. Load into the van for a ride up the hill to Ground School, where your guides will go over ziplining basics and safety precautions to consider. Each guest will practice at Ground School before heading to the next series of lines. Enjoy 7 lines in total, six of which feature spectacularly unique views of the Smoky Mountains. Cross three ropes bridges during the high-flying fun and zip up to speeds of 50 mph. After all guests finish the last line, you'll hope back on the van for a ride back to the office, where you will put up your harness, helmet and gloves, say goodbye to your guides, and check out your photos taken by our photographer while on your trip.

What To Wear & Bring

Sturdy shoes like hiking boots or sneakers are best, but you can wear whatever you're comfortable in so long as the shoes are close-toed and close-heeled. Consider wearing long pants, leggings, capris or knee-length shorts. The harness you will be wearing goes between your legs and around your waste, attaching you securely to the cables above. The harness can cause short shorts to ride up when tightened, causing discomfort. Wear a shirt that is comfortable, like what you would wear to go hiking or workout. Long hair should be tied back. Any jewelry that dangles should be removed. We recommend against bringing anything in your pockets. The potential for loosing your items out of your pockets is high. If ziplining in cooler temperatures, consider wearing functional layers.

Restrictions

Age: Ages 3+ are welcome. Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult on tour.

Weight: Must weigh 70 - 270 pounds to zip alone. Children under 70 pounds must ride tandem with a guide or responsible adult. If an adult is unable to show adequate breaking skills on the first two lines and in Ground School, children under 70 pounds will have to ride with a guide for safety reasons.
